Open a group chat
- Open Groups and select the group you belong to.
- Open Group Details.
- Select the group chat or conversation action shown in the app.
- Read the recent messages or send a message to the group.
Group chat is for members of that group. If the chat is not available, confirm that you have joined the group and that the group has chat enabled in the current app version.
Group chat and session chat are different
- Group chat is for ongoing group announcements and community conversation.
- Session chat is tied to one session. The game host and confirmed participants can join that session chat once participation is confirmed.
Use session chat for time-sensitive details about a particular game, such as arrival instructions or a court change. Use group chat for updates that are relevant to the wider group.
Keep conversations safe and useful
Do not post passwords, payment-card details, verification codes, identity documents or another person's private contact information. Share only the information members need for the group's activities.
A user can edit or delete their own message where those controls are available. Follow the in-app reporting or safety flow for abusive or unsafe content. Public-group owners and eligible administrators may have additional moderation controls.
If group chat is missing
Check that you are a current member, close and reopen uDink, and install the latest app version. If the group chat still does not appear, contact admin@udink.app with the group name and your username. Do not send screenshots containing private messages or sensitive information unless support asks for a redacted example.
