Before you appoint a co-admin

Co-admin access is for a trusted person who will help manage a public group. Discuss the role first and make sure the person is already a member of the group.

The group owner remains responsible for the group. Administrator access can expose management actions for the group and, where eligible, its public-group sessions.

Appoint a co-admin

  1. Open Groups and select the public group you own.
  2. Open Group Details.
  3. Open the group-management or member-management controls.
  4. Select the member you want to appoint.
  5. Choose the administrator or co-admin action shown in the app and confirm.

The exact label or location of the control may vary as uDink rolls out the feature. If the administrator action is not shown, check that the group is public, you are the owner and the selected person is a current member.

What a co-admin can do

An eligible public-group administrator may receive group-management actions and additional management actions for public-group sessions where the app allows them. Access depends on the group, role and session state.

Co-admins should use these controls only for the group's operation and safety. They should not request passwords, verification codes, identity documents or payment details from members.

Remove or change access

Return to the same group-management controls to review administrators or remove a co-admin when the role is no longer needed. If the action is unavailable, contact admin@udink.app with the group name and account usernames. Do not send private documents or payment information.

What happens next?

Tell the co-admin which sessions, announcements and safety tasks they are expected to help with. For group conversations, see How group chats work.
