The four stages
1. Reserve
Select Reserve with Credit Card and complete Stripe's secure card flow. uDink saves an eligible credit-card payment method for the session. Debit and prepaid cards are not supported.
Reserve First, Pay Later uses no-hold settlement. Stripe does not place a temporary card authorisation for the reservation. The eligible charge is created after the session is settled.
2. Meet the minimum
If the organiser set a minimum-player requirement, enough eligible reservations must be in place by the reservation deadline.
When the minimum is met, uDink begins the confirmation process. At the reservation deadline, players may receive a two-hour confirmation window to make permitted reservation changes. If the requirement is not satisfied after that window, the session is cancelled.
3. Play
Once confirmation is complete, the reservation is locked. Cancelling or not attending after that point may not prevent your share from being charged.
Use the session check-in flow where the organiser asks you to do so. The game host can review and adjust the number of players after the session.
4. Settle
After the session ends, the organiser has a review window of up to two hours. The game host can adjust the player count and select Settle during that window. If they do not settle the session, uDink processes it automatically after the window.
The final session cost is divided among the players only, using the player count confirmed during settlement. The organiser is not automatically added to that count; if the organiser played, they should be included as a player. Only eligible reserved players with saved payment methods are charged through uDink.
If a charge fails
uDink may mark the session for manual review and ask the affected player to update their credit card or resolve an outstanding payment. An unresolved payment can restrict the player from joining another paid session.
What happens next?
Players can check the session for their final payment status. Organisers can check Host Payouts after the settlement has been transferred to their connected Stripe account.
For an unexpected charge or payment status, contact support with the session title, date, amount and the last four digits of the card only.
