Allow the first notification request
When uDink asks for notification permission, choose Allow if you want timely session updates.
If you previously declined or the prompt does not appear, enable permission in the device settings.
iPhone or iPad
- Open the iOS Settings app.
- Open Notifications.
- Select uDink.
- Turn on Allow Notifications.
- Choose the alert locations, sounds and badges you want.
- Return to uDink.
Focus modes and Scheduled Summary can delay or silence an alert even when uDink has permission. Check those settings if an important notification is not appearing immediately.
Android
- Open the device settings for Apps.
- Select uDink.
- Open Notifications.
- Allow notifications for the app.
- Enable the uDink notification categories you want, if your device shows categories.
- Return to uDink.
Android labels vary by device manufacturer. Battery-saving or background restrictions can also delay delivery.
Updates you may receive
Depending on the session and your participation, uDink may send updates about:
- session changes or cancellation;
- minimum-player confirmation;
- waitlist movement or an available place;
- reservation and payment status; and
- organiser or session reminders.
Notification delivery is not guaranteed and can be affected by the device, operating system, network or notification service.
Confirm the current status in uDink
Treat the in-app session detail as the current source of truth. Open the session before travelling or making a payment decision, especially when a notification is delayed or missing.
What happens next?
Keep notifications enabled and review the session detail when an alert arrives. If permission is already enabled but alerts remain missing, follow Fix missing notifications.
